The Swiss Implant Foundation
We provide independent and easy-to-understand information about dental implants and highlight the opportunities and limitations of implant therapy.
Founded in 2007, the Swiss Implant Foundation informs the Swiss public about dental implants. Its goal is to provide scientifically sound, easy-to-understand, and objective information on the possibilities and limitations of implant therapy. To this end, it provides the necessary information materials, conducts awareness campaigns, and organizes a specialist congress for dentists every three years.
The foundation consists of the Board of Trustees, which is supported by a secretariat, a scientific commission (WisKo), and an advisory board. The Swiss Implant Foundation focuses on information activities and does not provide expert assessments or second opinions. Contact points for these are the assessment commissions of the dental association of the respective canton, the university centers for dentistry, or the Swiss patient organization.

The Board of Trustees
Four professional associations are represented on the Board of Trustees as the governing body of the Swiss Implant Foundation. This also applies to the four university centers for dentistry in Bern, Basel, Geneva, and Zurich.

- Swiss Society of Oral Implantology (SGI)
- Swiss Society of Oral Surgery and Stomatology (SSOS)
- Swiss Society of Periodontology (SSP)
- Swiss Society of Reconstructive Dentistry (SSRD)
The foundation is also supported by the Swiss Dental Association (SSO) as well as the university centers for dentistry in Bern, Basel, Geneva and Zurich.
